Urbanwood Learning Series
We'll be offering some great workshops in the coming months to help bring more reclaimed wood into the marketplace. Our Urbanwood Learning Series will be a chance for mill owners, wood users, and other interested people to come together, usually on the second Thursday of each month at Recycle Ann Arbor. Workshops are planned to begin in February 2008 and will likely include the following topics:
- "Meet & Greet" Sessions with Local Mill Owners
- Wood in Green Building
- Demand for Green Products in the Local Lumber Industry
- Basic Computer Skills for Mill Owners
- Green Wood Products: A Designer's Perspective
- Branding and Marketing Local Products
- Installing Custom-Milled Floors
- Using Urban Wood in Woodworking
